Breath-Takers.com wants to set itself apart from the rest – and for what it’s worth, I think they did. It’s eye-catching in its simplicity from the very first you enter the site, and it’s easy to use. Breath-Takers.com considers itself a photography site, full of provocative photographs, and it focuses more on these photos than on video. While serving a niche audience, I think it fills a void in the industry, and is also an example of the argument that pornography can be art.
Breath-Takers.com is an easy site to navigate as well. There are very few ways to look at the offerings available. For this site, I would recommend searching by model. There is a photo of each one, and her graphic tells you how many photo sets she has, and if she has a video as well. It’s easy to pick out what you want, and you know what your girl looks like because coy stares aside, each of these intro photographs manages to show what the model is all about.
It should not be a surprise that the photo sets on Breath-Takers.com are amazing. These are, without a doubt, the best photos I’ve seen while looking at web sites for NudeReviews.com. They’re sexy and artistic and leave a person wanting more. The lighting and style manages what very few sites are able to – making a picture look interesting and new without fuzzy and hard to see. All photo sets are available for download as zip files – both high def and low def. I couldn’t find a way to view as a slide show without downloading. Each photo sets shows exactly how many photos are in the set, and as I said earlier, each model has an indication of how many photo sets she has. The videos are rather uninteresting, and definitely geared toward the viewer who just likes to watch sexy girls. The camerawork is unshaky, shots gets in real close but also pull back to be able to see the whole model. The videos can be streamed from Breath-Takers.com, or they can be downloaded for WMV, Quicktime, iPod/iPhone, and PSP. I wasn’t able to stream the videos for some reason, but it’s possible the site was having an off night.
My only real issue with this site is how little comes with it. Lately it seems that web sites are competing to offer as much stuff as possible – with Breath-Takers.com, membership gets you access to the photos and videos, and that’s it. There are no bells and whistles here, no affiliated web sites that you can use with your membership to Breath-Takers.com. There are several sites at the bottom considered “friends,” but it seems that this is in the same way that all of us with geocities sites back in the day would list our favorite web sites to look at, too.
Overall, I really like this one. It strikes me as a really great gateway web site, but it’s also truly great erotic art for the more sophisticated taste. Updated a couple times weekly, there’s always new stuff to look at, but if you’re looking for quantity, in comparison to sites that are part of networks this won’t hold a candle to others that are out there. When it comes to quality, however, Breath-Takers.com is, well, breathtaking.
